The
Century Club's first qualifying run was on
May 24, 2001. A simple 2.7 mile
stretch of Interstate 15 outside of Baker,
California was the location.
Qualifiers achieved a "high
temperature" mark of 102.4 to
112.0. We were a little nervous but
once the temperature hit 95, "Katie
bar the door!"
Other qualifying runs were made outside of
Las Vegas. Once again, Interstate 15
was the venue and the temperature rose to
over 105. Great fun but you only
have to do it once to be a member of the
club.
We currently have
over 20 members in the Northern California
Century Club. We are looking for new
members all of the time. Want to
join? Send us an e-mail requesting
the rules and requirements.
