The Crash
November 6, 2002
Junction of I-10W and I-210N
Los Angeles County, CA

Driving in Los Angeles can be a scary thing.  We were visiting family in the Inland Empire in early November,2002.  On our way home on the 6th, we were traveling our normal route along the I 15 to the I 10 and then to the I 210.  In the transition from the 10 to the 210, we were slowing for traffic when we heard a screeching of brakes.  Almost instantly, we felt the impact.  Ramblin' Rose had been rear-ended.  This was the first accident that we had ever been in and it wasn't fun.  We were okay but were more worried about how Rose had fared.  She had some bumps and bruises and spent over two weeks in the "hospital" recovering.  Her doctors were the fine people at Gamboa's Body & Frame Shop.  We were given a "rental" PT Cruiser for the duration.  The rental performed its function well.  It wasn't Rose but it was a close cousin.  After 16 days of waiting for parts and repairs, Ramblin' Rose returned home good as new and ready for more CRUISIN'.
