This
was the Gold Country Cruiser's second parade of the day. This one
was WARM and the sun was shining. We joined the line-up with the
Delta PT Cruisers. I forget the number of Cruisers but it was a
lot.
Another
good parade. A little later in the day than in years past so some
of the lights really stood out. A very large parade with lots of
entries. Once again, we saw all the other car clubs in line but
they just don't decorate their cars. As you can see, most of the
PT Cruisers are covered with decorations. We have fun. How
can you enter a Christmas parade and not decorate? The bottom line
is that you can see Corvettes and HHRs just like the ones that were in
the parade.... on the car lot downtown. I'm giving away secrets
but why not decorate? It's fun and the crowd cheers when they hear
the PT Cruiser Club is approaching.
After
the parade, we waited to see if we had placed in the competition.
Drum roll please...... .... .... WE TOOK FIRST PLACE.
Congratulations to all who participated. You looked GREAT and the
crowd loves you!
We
had dinner at a local pizza place where Bob showed us the trophy and
made several presentations to Cruisers who have done a lot for the PT
Community over the last year and years. Thank you Bob for our
plaque for "Meritorious Service and Support".
