She was born on Halloween, 2000

VIN # 3C8FY4BB51T545042 was assembled in Toluca, Mexico.  It came off of the assembly line on October 30, 2000.  She was loaded on a Union Pacific Railcar (#TTGX985449) in the evening of October 30, 2000.  We tracked the car from Laredo, Texas to Benicia, California.  Along the way, the train made too many stops for us, but it slowly but surely worked its way to Benicia.

We received the following information from the Union Pacific Website:

On the ground in Benicia, CA

The car was transported to Swift Chrysler, Davis CA on Tuesday, November 14, 2000.  We received the call from Jeff Poteet around 5:30 to set the appointment to pick up our PT CRUISER.  The appointment was set for Wednesday, November 15, 2000 at 7:00 p.m.

Michelle, Clyde, and friends, David and JoAnne, spent most of Sunday, November 12th, searching out the rail car that our car was on.  We climbed through fences, walked down hills, fought barbed wire, all with one eye out for the security officers.
We finally made it to THE TRAIN and got some good pictures of the railcar and the cars on the train.  We watched as the workers set-up the ramps between the rail cars that would accommodate the PT's unloading.  We saw 48 PT CRUISERS all set to be off-loaded and sent to expectant owners throughout Northern California.
